The final track on Meadow Meadow’s self-titled debut EP is a delightful representation of everything the duo create. As with the rest of the release, ‘Scar’ is built on a juxtaposition of nostalgia and dystopian loss which relate to memory, which “it connects seemingly disparate experiences together to form a storyline that you then carry with you.” Musically, the tune is a dreamy, Beatles-esque combination of hypnotic vocal melodies, guitars and unique production twists and turns, all centred on an understanding of modern indie pop. Meadow Meadow was recorded remotely, but thanks to a seamless flow and a gift for composition, you’d never know. -Dan Peeke
